Career
Dr Datta has spent her career at the intersection of drug development, molecular science and oncology clinical operations in India. She co-founded Biosite Research to bring rigorous, internationally-competent clinical research infrastructure to Indian sites and sponsors — and has steered the organisation through hundreds of clinical studies across oncology, immunology, and specialty therapeutic areas.
ONCO X grew out of that work. Across years of oncology trial operations, one pattern kept repeating: patients who should have been on targeted therapy weren't, because the molecular test that would have qualified them never happened — for reasons of turnaround, sample quality, or access. Dr Datta founded ONCO X inside Biosite in 2025 to close that gap.
At ONCO X
Under her leadership as CEO, ONCO X has launched India's first ultra-sensitive PCR-based NSCLC panel, established the country's first commercial cancer resistance test workflow, and secured lab partnerships with NABL-accredited sites in Karnataka.
Her stated mandate for the next 24 months: put a guideline-complete molecular answer within reach of every advanced-cancer patient in India, across four indications — lung, colorectal, bladder, and MRD.
Beyond ONCO X
Dr Datta continues to serve as Director at Biosite Research, where she oversees clinical strategy across the broader research organisation. She is also actively involved in Biosite's engagement with Indian and international oncology cooperative groups.
